Review: Aerosmith rocks March Madness Music Festival, bringing Macklemore back for ‘Walk This Way’

Aerosmith brought the free March Madness Music Festival in downtown Phoenix to a raucous climax Sunday with a hit-filled set that put the focus squarely on their comeback years.

After setting the tone with a song from the ’90s that they hadn’t played on stage in 15 years, “Nine Lives,” they made their way through such MTV favorites as “Love in an Elevator,” “Cryin’,” “Livin’ on the Edge,” a very funky “Rag Doll” and “Falling in Love (is Hard on the Knees)” before getting their blues on with two songs from “Honkin’ on Bobo,” a 2004 release that found them paying tribute to their blues roots.
