From the legendary rock band Aerosmith, lead guitarist Joe Perry talks with Mark and Cristina about his new memoir. Joe shares some insights into the bands creative process and talks about how important his wife and kids are to his personal success. Later Joe heads into the kitchen to share his recipe for Rockin’ BBQ Baked Beans!
2 cans beans, well drained
1 ounce raisins
1/2 cup small apple chunks
3/4 cup Joe Perry’s Rock Your World BBQ sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 small chopped onion
2 Tbsp Joe Perry’s Rock Your World Boneyard Brew Table Sauce
Mix ingredients well and pour into 9 x 13 baking dish.
Dice up 2 slices of raw bacon and place on top of bean mixture.
Bake uncovered in a 350 degree F oven for one hour.

During his nearly 45-year tenure with Aerosmith, Joe Perry has enjoyed gold and platinum records, No. 1 albums, No. 1 singles and Grammy Awards. He’s hit the charts in a different fashion this fall, however.
The guitarist published his autobiography, “Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith” (Simon & Schuster) in early October and watched it debut at No. 8 on the New York Times best-seller list. He’d been there before, with Aerosmith’s 1997 band biography “Walk This Way,” but that didn’t diminish the satisfaction of succeeding in another artistic world.
